Your radius (r) =3ft

A=pi•r^2
A=3.14•3^2
A=3.14•9
A=28.26

Answer:

27 ft^2

Explanation:

r = 3 ft (that's the radius)

and pi = 3

A = pi r^2

or

3 * r^2

plug in r = 3

so 3 * 3^2 = 3 * 9 = 27 ft^2

(note: 3^2 = 3 * 3. Squaring means we multiply the number by itself)
