In a mass spectrometer, a proton moves in a circle of radius 5.0 cm in a 0.60 T uniform magnetic field. Determine the electric field such that the proton moves in a straight path (undeflected). Given that m= 1.67 x 10^-27 kg. q= 1.6 x 10^-19 C​

F = mv²/r

mv²/r = qvB

v = q B r/m

v = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ x 0.6 x 0.05/1.67 x 10⁻²⁷

v = 2.87 x 10⁶ m/s
