A bag of marbles contains 17 red marbles, 6 blue marbles, 12 green
marbles and 3 yellow marbles. What is the probability of randomly
selecting a red marble and then a blue marble out of the bag without
replacement (the first marble isn't put back into the bag)? Round your
answer to 2 decimal places.

Answer:

it's dependent events so multiply each probability

Total marbles = 17+6+12+3=38

P(red) = 17/38

Since without replacement, now total marble is 38-1=37

P(blue)= 6/37

Multiply two probability

(17/38) (6/37) = 0.07
