Which sentence uses dashes incorrectly?

She knew when it was time to wake up—7:00 a.m.—and did so before the alarm went off.

Most of her books—including the newest titles—are nonfiction.

Harry—along with his father—is always welcome at our house.

The dog wanted—to go outside—as soon as her owner got home from work.

Your answer is D. The dog wanted — to go outside — as soon as her owner got home for work. Dashes are usually used for the other three answers and D sounds really out of place with the dashes. Please mark as brainilest

Answer:

D) The dog wanted—to go outside—as soon as her owner got home from work.

Step-by-step explanation:

Dashes are used to "set off an idea or an appositive within a sentence." It is a punctuation mark used to "set off an idea within a sentence". They are used to mark the "interruption of a sentence".

With these options, only option d makes sense. All the other answer choices are grammatically correct because the dashes create an interruption in the sentences.

For the last option, it's the same idea. It talks about a dog that wanted to go outside when her owner got home.

Hope this helps!
