You would set it up 2x + 7 + 3x = 4x+ 9
Then you combine like terms, 5x+7=4x+9
Subtract 5x-4x , 9-7 and you get x=2
Then you substitute it to LM 2(2)+7 and you get 11

Answer:

LM=11

Explanation:

LN= ML+MN

4x+9=(2x+7)+(3x)

4x+9=5x+7

5x-4x= 9-7

x=2

LM=2x+7 =2(2)+7=4+7=11
