5.2) Ans;

`(1)/(R) = (1)/(R1) + (1)/(R2) \\ (1)/(R) = (1)/(8) + (1)/(10) \\ (1)/(R) = (5 + 4)/(40) = (9)/(40) \\ R = (40)/(9) = 4.4 \: \: ohm`
