\\ \rm\Rrightarrow A=(1)/(2)bh

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow bh=2A

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow h=(2A)/(b)

Now

  • A=18in^2
  • b=9in

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow h=(2(18))/(9)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow h=(36)/(9)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow h=4

Answer:

2A/b = h

4 inches = h

Explanation:

A = 1/2bh in terms of h

Multiply each side by 2

2A = bh

Divide by b

2A/b = h

Let A = 18 and b = 9

2*18/9 = h

4 = h
