Answer:

y-y1=slope (x-x1)

where x1=-5, y1=-7 and the slope=2÷5

we substitute for x and y

y-(-7)=2÷5{x-(-5)}

y+7=2÷5(x+5)

y+7=(2x+10)÷5 cross multiply

5y+35=2x+10 collect like terms

5y=2x+10-35

5y=2x-25 ......ans
