In the article “What Will It Take To Make Gender Equality the Norm, Not the Exception?” you learned that the author, Margie Warrell, believes that because men are more liberated than women, men wrestle less with the trade-offs of combining their career and parenthood. It demonstrates Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm's sincere desire to help others around who are in a similar situation and her will to persist until she succeeds. There will be many people who will tell others in life that they cannot do certain things. that it is impossible, no matter how much they would want it or attempt to. Shirley Chisholm, a congresswoman, does not want to pay attention to people who make such claim. She is deserving of the description of hardworking just for that reason. Despite being aware of how things are, she continues to push the envelope because she wants to offer those who might be interested a chance. She is not acting in an evil or self serving manner.
