I came up with this solution with some easy mental math! If you weren't aware, 60% of 50 is a whole number! Meaning that 60% of 50 is 30. You could even double 50 to make it 100, everyone knows that dealing with percentages with the number 100 make them a whole lot easier!

Back to what I was saying, if you used 100, you would also have to take 60% of 100, which is 60. And then have to divide 60 by 2 because you doubled the 50! Giving you 30 free-throws, which is the correct answer!
