The side of square 1 is 36/4 = 9 so the area = 9x9 = 81
The side of square 2 is 48/4 = 12 so the area = 12x22 = 144
Using Pythagoras the area of square 3 = 144 + 81 = 225 sq.units
You are not asked for the side of square 3 but it is 15 units
