If we’re talking about the south or north the opinion of the British went against or to put it in better words went against involvement in the American War. Well a fun fact it would be the day with the greatest loss of life after that well to be exact ending in a draw the union claimed it as a form of victory, but other thought or believed the race war or a race was imminent
