Explanation:

y - ( - 2) = (2)/(3) (x - 1) \\ \\ y + 2 = (2)/(3) (x - 1) \\ dividing \: each \: side \: by \: (3)/(3) \\ \\ (3)/(3) (y + 2) = (2)/(3) * (3)/(3) (x - 1) \\ \\ y + 2 = 2 * 3(x - 1) \\ y + 2 = 6(x - 1) \\ y + 2 = 6x - 6 \\ y = 6x - 6 - 2 \\ y = 6x - 8
