At a day care center for toddles there is one

teacher for every 7 toddlers. Determine
whether there is a direct variation between
the number of toddlers, y, and the number of
teachers, x. If so, find the equation of direct
variation.

Answer: x = 7y.

Step-by-step explanation: There is direct variation between the number of toddlers and the number of teachers. We know this because when one increases, the other would as well. We can write the equation of direct variation as x = 7y.

Yes there is a direct variation between the number of toddlers and the number of teachers.

If there is one teacher(x) for every 7 students(y)

The equation would be,

x = 7y
