Take two points

  • (3,1)
  • (4,2)

Slope:-

\\ \sf\longmapsto (1)/(1)=1=m

Equation in point slope form

\\ \sf\longmapsto y-1=1(x-3)

\\ \sf\longmapsto y-1=x-3

\\ \sf\longmapsto y=x-2

or

  • f(x)=x-2

Answer:

f(x) = x - 2

Explanation:

so to make the equation you have to use the formula y2 - y1/ x2 - x1 to find the slope sooo

lets use the points (3, 1 ) and (4, 2)

2 - 1/ 4 - 3

1/1

1

so rn the equation looks like:

y = x + b

now to find b we have to substitute a point we did not use yet sooo

(5,3)

3 = 5 + b

b = -2

y = x - 2

now to check we substitute the last point

4 = 6 - 2?

4 = 4
