9x^2 -2x+8

Explanation:

( 9x^2 -5x) - ( -3x -8)

Distribute the minus sign

( 9x^2 -5x) +3x +8

Combine like terms

9x^2 -2x+8

The x^2 should be positive and you have it as negative
