2x=2y+14..... equation 1

3y= -5x+3.... equation 2

step 2:

2x -2y=14..... equation 1

3y+5x=3..... equation 2

step 3:

2x -2y=14..... equation 1 *5

5x+3y=3...... equation 2 *2

using elimination method

10x - 10y =70

10x + 6y =6

(equation 2 - equation 1)

10x -10x + 6y-(-10y)=6-70

16y=64

y= -64/16

y= -4

substitute -4 for y in equation 1

2x - 2(-4)=14

2x+8=14

2x=14 - 8

2x=6

x=6/2

x=3
