m= y2 - y1/ x2 - x1

= 1 - (-1)/ -11 -(-6)

m = -2/5

then you find the gradient of the other points in the same way

m = y2 - y 1/ x2 -x1

= -13 -(-8)/ -5 -(-3)

m = 5/2

to prove that they are perpendicular

m1×m2 = -1

-2/5 × 5/2 = - 1

hence they are perpendicular
