Explanation:
let a= 3 and b= 4
a² + 6² / a - b
= 3² + 6² / 3 - 4
= 9 + 36 / -1
= 45 / -1
= -45

Knowing what the variables are means that all we have to do is substitute:
[ ( 3 ) ^2 + ( 4 ) ^2 ] / 4 - 3 =
( 9 + 16 ) / 1 =
25
