Check the picture below.

let's notice the "holes" on the blue and green lines, that means that the line doesn't include that point, recall x < 0, is not equals to 0 is less than 0, and x > 2, is more than 2, but never equals to 2. That said, notice the red line, it has solid dots on each end, that's because whatever "x" value is, it can include 0 and 2.
