We are adding 4 each time

9+4 = 13

13+4 =17

17+4 = 21

The common difference =4

The formula is

an = a1+d(n-1) where n is the term number

an = 9+4(n-1)

a10 = 9+4(10-1)

= 9+4(9)

= 9+36

= 45
