(4x)/(1) = (1)/(16)

Then you CROSS MULTIPLY.

WHICH IS.

4x × 16 = 1

64x = 1

Then you divide both sides by coefficient of x which is 64.


(64x)/(64) = (1)/(64)

x = 1/64
