I need to mix brown paint using red, blue, and yellow in the ratio of 2:1:3. If I need to mix 120 ml of paint, how much yellow paint will I need?

You have a total of 6 parts. (2, 1, 3) so you know half of your total must be yellow. Half of 120 is 60 ml so that will be yellow. 2 of 6 parts is 1/3 so one third of 120ml or 40ml should be red, the remaining 1/6 of 120ml or 20 ml will be blue.

Yellow= 60ml needed
