The diagonals of a rectangle are equal

7x-9 = 2x+62

Subtract 2x from each side

7x-9-2x = 2x+62-2x

5x-9 = 62

Add 9 to each side

5x-9+9 = 62+9

5x= 71

Divide by 5

x=14.2
