A radioactive material has a half-life of 1 day. The material decays according to the equation M = 1000(1/2)^t. Mass M is measured in grams and time t is measured in days.

a) What is the mass of the sample after 1 day? 2 days? 10 days?
b) Use a calculator with an exponent key to compute the mass of the
sample after 1 year. Explain what the answer means.

I literally have no idea how to do this

Answer:

A) 1 day=500, 2 day=250, 10 days=0.9765

B) 1 year=365 days, 1000*(1/2)^(365)=1.33*(10)^(-107)
