Okay, I have many questions and I'm not really sure how to ask them so I'm sorry if I confused any of you. (I know this isn't a math question, but I needed a better chance of people to see this and many people only look at math and ELA questions. I have an essay soon and I need a better understanding of this.) So, when Native Americans were taken to the Indian Territory were they forced to stay there, or did they have the option to leave? In 1907 when Oklahoma became a state and the Indian Territory was extinguished how did it affect the Native Americans? Like if they were trapped there and were they happy they got to go? Or did they have nowhere to go and were screwed? (I'm reading this over and it kinda doesn't make sense, but I don't really care lol it's late at night. Anyway, have a lovely rest of your day/night xx

Answer: There are 36 federally recognized tribes that live in Oklahoma known state today. You will find by researching what tribes are there what they say had happened. Part of this was due to growth of railroads provided white settlers west of the Mississippi. As the U.S. population increased Congress opened large areas of the territory for settlement. These are part of the denser areas that record history and acknowledge areas that limited sovereignty on their lands. Nonetheless, what is important tribes continue to hold limited sovereignty on their lands is useful to note and research as this is a continual need of regognition of why they stayed in Oklahoma how they struggle throughout the decades and daily fight- in how they repatriated and how tribes like Cheyenne-Arapaho show solidarity and use reference to an alliance together around 1811 which helped them expand their territories and strengthen their presence on the plains.

Ok so more than 46,000 native Americans were forced to stay in the Indian Territory. Oklahoma became the 46th state in 1907 and following several acts that incorporated more and more Indian Tribal into U.S territory. Native Americans ultimately lost their lands by fraud and deception from white opportunists. OKOK I READ A LOT A GOT THAT INFO BUT SWITCH UP WORDS AND UR OWN WAY :)))
