A person who is suffering from Wernicke's aphasia is medically known to be having what is termed as a communication disorder. This is a condition generally known as the incapability to grasp the definition of spoken expressions and sentences.

A person who has Wernicke's aphasia is someone who has a communication disorder and such person is characterized by the following communication features:

negatively impacted communication abilities:

  • Reading abilities
  • Writing abilities

preserved communication abilities:

  • intellectual abilities
  • cognitive capabilities
