Lauren says all numbers less than 10 have only two factors

and all numbers greater than 10 have more than two factors.
Is Lauren correct? Use examples to explain your answer.

lauren isn’t correct

examples:

2x2=4 but also 1x4=4

2x3=6 but also 1x6=6

2x4=8 but also 1x8=8

3x3=9 but also 1x9=9

2x5=10 but also 1x10=10

Answer: No. Lauren is not correct.

Explanation:

Yes it is true that some numbers less then 10 only have two factors and some numbers greater then 10 have more then two, but not ALL numbers.

Ex.

4 x 2 = 8

8 x 1 = 8

3 x 3 = 9

9 x 1 = 9

Ex.

1 x 29 = 29

1 x 43 = 43
