Answer:

g) a) 11/14

f) 9/14

h) 12/14

Explanation:

Probability is just the amount of the specified object over the total amount of objects.

Amount of Red : 2

Amount of Orange: 5

Amount of Green: 3

Amount of Brown: 4

Total: 14

*Formula: (Specified Object)/(Total)*

F) Chances of Red or Orange or Green

=(2+5+4)/14

=11/14

G) NOT be orange

*Formula: (Total)-(Specified)/(Total)*

=(14-5)/14

=9/14

H) NOT blue or red

*Formula: (Total)-(Specified)/(Total)*

=14-(2+0) (*There is a 0 there because the question asked to solve for blue pencils as well, and there are 0 blue pencils*)

= 12/14
