so that

f(3.2) ≈ f(3) + 0.2 f'(3)

The approximation is an overestimate, which means

f(3.2) - f(3) > 0

so that

f(3.2) ≈ f(3) + 0.2 f'(3) ⇒ f'(3) ≈ (f(3.2) - f(3))/0.2 > 0
