Givem that :

Population Standard deviation , σ = 16

Sample size, n =

Standard Error, S. E = 4

To obtain the standard Error, S. E, we use the relation :

S.E = σ / √n

4 = 16 / √n

√n * 4 = 16

Divide both sides by 4

(√n * 4) / 4 = 16 / 4

√n = 4

Square both sides

n = 4²

n = 16

Hence, Sample size = 16
