In a dot plot, we have a horizontal axis that represents the different events, and for each time that one of these events happened, we mark a dot on top of the individual event.

In this case, each event is the inches of weekly rainfall.

The data that we have is:

5, 3, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 3, 2, 5

For example, we can see that the event "5" (which means a rainfall of 5 inches) appears 3 times, so we would put 3 dots on top of the event "5"

Reordering these, we have:

{2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5}

So:

for 2 inches we would have 2 dots.

for 3 inches we would have 4 dots

for 4 inches we would have 1 dot

for 5 inches we would have 3 dots.

Then the graph will be something like the graph below:
