Answer and Explanation:

The Maryland legislature "model" which is a bicameral legislature is not particularly unique to Maryland as a state within the United States of America. Maryland just like most states in America except Nebraska has a bicameral legislature consisting of an upper house, the state Senate of 47 members and the lower house, the house of delegates of 141 members.

The bicameral legislature in states in America allow states function effectively to review and adapt properly laws made by the US Congress as well as make laws that govern their state.
