Although we live in the present our experiences will eventually become history. What things which have occurred over the last twenty years do you think will be recorded in the history books?

There are a few things that I think will be put in the history books like September 11 attacks in New York City; Washington, D.C.; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania (2,977 killed) or the 2001 anthrax attacks in the United States (5 killed, 17 infected).
