The mean of a data-set is the sum of all values in the data-set divided by the number of values, that is:


M = (s)/(n)

Sum:

Team a: Mean of 68 inches, 2x members.

Team b: Mean of y inches, x members.

So


s = 68*2x + yx = x(136 + y)

Number of athletes:


n = 2x + x = 3x

What is the average height of team b?


66 = (x(136+y))/(3x)


66 = (136 + y)/(3)


136 + y = 198


y = 198 - 136 = 62

The average height of team b is 62 inches.
