Triangle DEF is simliar to triangle QRS. If side QR is 1.5 times the length of side DE, and side RS has a length of 6, what is the length of side EF? Also, there is no picture for this question.

Answer:

4

Explanation:

the scaling factor is 1.5 to go from DEF to QRS.

so,

EF × 1.5 = RS = 6

EF = 6 / 1.5 = 6/1 / 3/2 = 6×2 / 1×3 = 12/3 = 4
