What religion had a great influence on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s work?
Nathaniel Hawthorne had been in a extremely religious environment growing up. Ancestors of Nathaniel had been involved with the Salem witch trials. What may of had given him a influence in his writing were Puritanism and writing on about the Puritan Society, Sin, and Religious issues of those times.
