PQR is a triangle with sides PQ=4cm,PR=6 cm and QR=3cm. Check whether the triangle is right angles or not?Give reasons for your answer..

Answer:

Triangle is not a right angled triangle.

Explanation:

PQ = 4cm, PR = 6 cm and QR = 3cm

According to the Pythagorean theorem, If it is a right angled triangle then the square of the longest side is equal to the sum of squares of other two sides.

here, longest side is PR.


PR^2 = 6^2 = 36 \\\\PQ^2 + QR^2 = 4^2 + 3^2 = 25\\

As they are not equal so the triangle is not right angles triangle.
