Step 1: Find the area of the rectangle

A = base x height

A = 39 x 20

A = 780

Step 2: Find the area of the semi-circles

---Two semi-circles is the same as one whole circle, so I will be finding the area of one whole circle.

A = pi x r^2

A = pi x 10^2

A = 100pi = 314

Step 3: Find the area of the figure

Area = area of the rectangle - area of the semi-circles

A = 780 - 314

A = 466 cm^2

Hope this helps!
