Explanation:

Applying Trigonometry ratio

sin∅ = opposite/hypotenuse

cos∅ = Adjacent/hypotenuse

From the diagram,

sin60° = 5√3/x

make x the subject of the equation

x = 5√3/sin60°

But, sin60° = √3/2

x = 5√3/(√3/2)

x = (5√3)(2/√3)

x = 10.

Also, applying

cos60° = y/x

Where x = 10, cos60° = 1/2

y = xcos60°

y = 10(1/2)

y = 5
