B. Federal system
- In a federal system of government there is a division of power between the federal or central government and the state governments.

- Monarchy: appoints a person as the head of state for life or until abdication.
- Parliamentary: the party with the greatest representation in the parliament/legislature forms the government (its leader becoming prime minister/chancellor).
- Unitary: the majority of the governing power resides in a centralized government.
