Answer:

f(x) can not be equal to g(x)

Explanation:

If the result is possible:

f(x) = g(x)

x + 8 = x + 2

x + 8 - (x + 2) = x + 2 - (x + 2)

6 = 0

Because 6 can't be equal to 0, so do f(x) can't be equal to g(x)
