My answer is assuming that you want the final population after the 6 years since you did not tell me the question.

If it increases 2% a year then it can be expressed in a exponential function.

Result=800*(1+0.02)^6

Result≈900.93

And since there cannot be part of a student, we round down and get the answer of 900 students after the sixth year.
