I am taking a test tomorrow in math and it's on probability, I am having trouble with want that is can someone help and try and explain it to me better then my math teacher?? an example problem, If I have I have 8 M&Ms 2 red, 3 blue and 3 green, and it the change of getting a red M&M? I think it would be 2/8 but I know I probably wrong​

probability is the number of possible solutions over the number of outcomes, so in this example, you would take the 2 possibilities of getting a red M&M, and pot it over all the possible M&Ms you could get, so it is 2/8, which simplifies to 1/4, so you are correct
