To convert a mixed number into a fraction, you multiply the whole number by the denominator and that to the numerator, then you carry over the denominator,
Let me clarify for 6 6/7, you multiply the 7 and 6 to get 42, then the 6 the is above the 7 is added onto 42 to give us 42, we carry our denominator of seven over and get [48/7,]

Then we do 2 3/14, multiply 2 by 14 and add 3, the carry over the denominator of 14, giving us [31/14]

Finally, we multiply 48/7 by 2/2 to give us 96/14 and add that to 31/14, this gives us 127/14 which can be converted into mixed numbers by finding the whole number of times that 14 goes into 127, which is 9, the remainder is 1 so you keep that on the numerator and you get 9 and 1/14
