Answer:

the quickest way would be to "complete the square"

on x^2 + 5x - 7

you will end up with (x+2.5)² = 13.25

or

y = (x+2.5)²-13.25

the vertex

VERTEX: (-2.5,-13.25)

Solution/X-Intercepts: -6.14 AND 1.14
