Distributive property: whenever there is a number outside of the parenthesis you multiply that number by whatever is in the parenthesis

So for -6(-7+2z) we would multiply the number outside of the parenthesis (-6) by what's inside of the parenthesis ( -7 and 2z )

-6 * -7 = 42

-6 * 2z = -12z

An equivalent expression would be 42 - 12z
