for question 1) you need to first turn the mixed fraction into an improper fraction: 2 10/12= 2+10=12, 12x12 (you times it by 12 because 12 is the denominator) =144/12 for the second one which you need to add on to that, 3 3/12 you would do 3+3= 6 (you add it by 3 because 3 is your numerator) then you times 6 by 12 (6x12) which is 72 which means your answer is 72/12. now add them both up, 144/12 + 72/12 = 216/12. if they ask you to convert your answer fully, it would be 18 because 216 divided by 12 which is 18. hope this helps:)
