i would split the trapezoid into 2 shapes, the top half with the triangle and the bottom with the square.
area of the square would be: 5x4=20
area of the triangle: (5x4)/2= 10
then add the two answers together: 20+10=30
final answer: 30mm^2

80 mm2.
you can find the area of a trapezoid by adding the two parallel sides, dividing that by 2 and multiplying it with the height. so in this case [ (8x4)/2 ] x5
