Answer choice C & D have the graph above the x-axis in that interval, so it's positive instead of being negative. We can cross out those two answer choices.

The reason why answer choice A isn't correct is because at 1, the graph line is above the x-axis, since the brackets [-1, 1] means it includes -1 and 1.

So the only answer left is B.
